Dell Technologies Forum: 5,300 AI Avatars in Two Cities
Dell didn't want attendees to look at their hardware.
They wanted them to use it and walk away with proof of what it could do.
So we built an AI avatar experience that ran natively on Dell laptops. No external rigs. No hidden hardware. Just Dell devices powering real-time AI transformations in front of a crowd.
Dell liked it enough to bring the activation from Toronto to New York.

The Challenge
Dell Technologies Forum attracts CIOs, IT directors, and enterprise architects—people who've seen every expo gimmick.
Dell needed an experience that would stop attendees, create conversation, and show AI running live on Dell hardware. The laptops couldn't just sit on a demo table—they had to become the demo.

The Experience
We built an AI avatar experience powered directly on Dell laptops.
Guests joined a short line, watched a live slideshow of attendee avatars, then stepped up for a quick selfie.
An OutSnapped team member guided them through choosing an avatar style, and within seconds they received a personalized, Dell-branded AI portrait.
The result was a hands-on product demonstration that people wanted to participate in—not just watch.

Why It Worked
The product became the attraction.
Instead of surrounding Dell hardware with an experience, the hardware powered the experience. Attendees weren't just looking at Dell laptops—they were watching them generate AI portraits in real time.
It gave people a reason to stop.
The live slideshow and growing line naturally drew attention, turning the Dell booth into a destination instead of another stop on the expo floor.
It created value beyond the event.
Guests left with personalized AI portraits, while Dell captured first-party data and engagement analytics through email delivery and reporting.
It was built to scale.
After a successful launch in Toronto, Dell reused the same activation in New York with localized creative, proving the experience could travel across multiple Forum events.
What Success Looked Like
The strongest proof wasn't a dashboard.
It was the fact that Dell brought the activation back for a second city.
Across Toronto and New York, the experience generated:
- 5,300+ AI portraits created
- Multi-city deployment across two Dell Technologies Forums
- A reusable activation built around Dell's own hardware
